Job Title: Contracts Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Contracts Manager to oversee and manage grounds maintenance contracts from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring contracts are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full lifecycle of grounds maintenance contracts, including tendering, negotiation, awarding, and ongoing client management

Coordinate and supervise contract delivery teams to ensure services meet client requirements and company standards

Monitor contract performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary to address issues or improve efficiency

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to contracts

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards across all contract works

Collaborate with operational teams to optimise resource allocation and workflow scheduling

Report regularly to senior management on contract status, challenges, and opportunities

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in contract management within the grounds maintenance or landscaping industry

Strong knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, relevant regulations, and health and safety standards

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously

Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and forecasts

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and strong organisational abilities

Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NPTC, NVQ in Grounds Maintenance, or equivalent)

Experience with CHAS accreditation and compliance
